Teach Where Every Child Is Known By Name

Pi Learning Academy is a nonprofit private school in Brandon, Florida, accredited by the Florida Department of Education. We're a small, close-knit team of teachers who believe every child deserves to be truly seen, heard, and challenged at their own pace. If that's the kind of place you've been looking to teach in, we'd love to meet you.

Small Classes, Real Relationships

No 25-kid classrooms. With our low teacher-to-student ratio, you'll actually get to know each child and watch them grow through the year.

Freedom In Your Classroom

We follow Florida state standards, but you have the freedom and support to adapt lessons to how your students actually learn. No scripts, no teaching-to-the-test.

Family-Partnered Model

Founded by parents of a child on the autism spectrum, we work closely with families. You'll have parents who are truly invested in their child's learning.

Sane Hours

Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM. No evening grading marathons. We believe teachers do their best work when they're not burned out.

Weekly Field Trips

Every Wednesday is a field trip — museums, nature reserves, science centers. Teaching happens outside the classroom too.

Mission-Driven

Many of the families we serve came to us after tough experiences at bigger schools. The work you do here genuinely changes lives.

Open Positions

We're Hiring

We're growing and looking for two passionate educators to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Full-Time Florida Certified Teacher

Brandon, FL Full-Time Grades 1-6 Mon-Fri, 10AM-3PM

We're looking for an experienced, certified Florida teacher who's excited about teaching in a small, personal setting. You'll lead a multi-grade classroom of elementary students, follow Florida state standards, and work closely with families to make sure every child is growing academically and personally. This is a chance to actually teach — to know your students, adapt to how they learn best, and see real progress without the usual public-school pressures.

What you'll do
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Florida state standards across core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, social studies)
  • Teach a small multi-grade classroom (grades 1-6), adapting instruction to each child's pace
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs or 504 plans
  • Lead hands-on STEM projects and incorporate our weekly Wednesday field trips into the curriculum
  • Maintain regular, open communication with parents and complete end-of-year homeschool evaluations when applicable
  • Assess student progress and keep accurate records aligned with Florida Department of Education expectations
What we're looking for
  • Active Florida Professional Teaching Certificate (Elementary Education K-6 or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience teaching elementary grades, ideally in a small-class or multi-age setting
  • Patience and creativity working with students who have diverse learning needs (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to partner with parents
  • Must pass a Level 2 background screening
What we offer
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • School-year calendar (Aug-May) with summer off and standard school holidays
  • Small class sizes — teach the way you know works
  • Supportive team and a school culture built on respect, not bureaucracy
  • Paid professional development

Arabic / Islamic Studies Teacher

Brandon, FL Part-Time or Full-Time Grades 1-6 Flexible Schedule

We're looking for a teacher to lead our Arabic language and Islamic Studies program for grades 1-6. You don't have to be a seasoned classroom teacher — what matters most is that you have strong Arabic and Islamic Studies knowledge, genuine love for children, and the patience to teach at an age-appropriate pace. We're flexible on schedule; this can be a part-time role a few days a week or a full-time position paired with other teaching duties.

What you'll do
  • Teach Arabic language (reading, writing, speaking, and basic grammar) at a level appropriate for elementary-aged students
  • Teach foundational Islamic Studies — Qur'an recitation, basic tajweed, duas, stories of the Prophets (peace be upon them), Islamic manners and values
  • Build a warm, engaging classroom environment where students love coming to class
  • Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and simple assessments to track student progress
  • Partner with parents so that learning continues at home
What we're looking for
  • Fluency in Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) with the ability to teach at an elementary level
  • Solid foundational knowledge of Islamic Studies and Qur'an recitation
  • Comfort teaching young children — prior teaching experience is a plus but not required
  • Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for working with kids
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent religious/language credentials (ijazah, Madrasah training, etc.) preferred
  • Must pass a Level 2 background screening
What we offer
  • Competitive compensation, rate commensurate with experience and hours
  • Flexible scheduling — part-time (a few days per week) or full-time
  • Small class sizes
  • Supportive community of educators and families who value Islamic education
  • Summer and school holidays off
